The Three Sisters trail at Kleinmond is described as “challenging” and “moderate” on various websites and trails apps, opinions determined by the abilities and experience of the respective authors, I assume. I would advise that you be conditioned for hiking and be fairly sure-footed. In parts the path is narrow and requires some light scrambling in places near the Sisters. However, most of the lower ascents and descents feature painstakingly packed rock steps which must have taken volunteers many months and even years of work. If you are ascending from Jean’s Hill side, there are no steps beyond Sandown Peak. The 8 km circuit starts and ends in the car park near Kleinmond. You will reach an elevation of 634 m ASL.
We enjoyed this hike recently in particularly sublime weather for the Kogelberg: absolutely windless, sunny but not too warm. The views are majestic. The map below is of a previous hike that included Perdeberg. This time we simply walked the circuit to the south, for which no permits are required.
